TRAINING ACCELERATION OF STUDENT THESIS FINAL PROJECT 2015
Thesis or final project is the writing of a scientific paper containing the results of a thorough research that is systematically arranged based on the provisions of scientific research methods. Writing the thesis is intended as a means of training for students to express their ideas and ideas in the form of scientific works. There are three main components of the purpose of thesis writing, namely to assess students' ability to solve scientific problems according to the topics in their respective study programs, to assess students' skills in applying research methods correctly, and to assess students' ability to reason logically.
In the process of writing a thesis, students need a supervisor. The task of the thesis supervisor in general is to help students formulate thesis problems and direct students in terms of scientific research methodology. Based on the research, it was found that there were many reasons why students graduated late, namely the lack of persistence and concern to focus on completing the thesis thesis, as well as the lack of in-depth information related to the systematics of thesis writing. This is what underlies the holding of accelerated training for the final thesis of Adm Education students. The office on Friday, March 27 2015, located in the convivial room of the Faculty of Economics, UNY.
The event was attended by approximately 104 participants, consisting of 6th semester students and assistant lecturers for Office Administration Education and the committee. Resource persons by Mr. Joko Kumoro, M.Si and Mr. Sutirman, M.Pd moderated by Mrs. Rosidah, M.Si
According to Mr. Joko Kumoro, M.Si. , one of the important components in selecting the title of the thesis is the limitation of the problem. Students are expected to have the ability to identify problems that occur in the field. Students must be trained to develop a systematic framework of thinking in the preparation of the final project, namely finding the problem first in the research area, then determining the title of the research. So far, the students' mindset is the opposite, determining the title first without identifying the real problem that occurs in the field. As a result, students are forced to engineer problems that actually never happened in the field.
Mr. Sutirman, M.Pd. , giving an 'injection' of motivation to students by telling them that "the final project is not to be thought about, but to be done". Students do need intense motivation and continuous encouragement, because motivation is one of the most important external drivers so that they are awakened to immediately complete the final task.
After attending the training, it is expected that students will be able to complete the final thesis smoothly and on time. Students get the task of collecting the proposed thesis title no later than 27 April 2015 in a collective hard file and are required to fill out an online form via the following link (nadia)
