The 2014 D3 FE UNY Secretariat student held a Long Life Learner activity with the theme "Life is about share and care" which means our lives are to share and care for each other. The background of long life learner activities is non-profit. This means pure activities for charity and sharing without profit and based on volunteerism. The existence of this activity is based on the assignment of the Event Organizer course.

The Long Life Learner activity is one of the four activity ideas that were chosen to be involved in the community. The reason this activity was chosen is that besides being a form of caring for others, it is also a means of promoting study programs so that they are widely known by the public. This event contains lessons for the nation's children who are less fortunate, namely elementary school children in remote areas and difficult access to reach from urban areas. The subjects of this activity were all students of SDN Ngaliyan and SDN Ngargosari. The location of the activity is at SDN Ngaliyan, Samigaluh village, Kulonprogo district. The Long Life Learner activity teaches discipline, cohesiveness, honesty, thoroughness, and trains children's creative power through various fun games. The existence of this activity is expected to instill a good personality for every student in the elementary school.

The event was well received when the Long Life Learner Team, which consisted of 14 members, presented an overview of the activities to the school. One of the teachers even suggested staying at his house. “The event is good to be held at this time, considering that no one has held it before. There was once a Scout but it is no longer running because of a shortage of teachers, Ms. Moreover, the children have finished their final exam so they can be refreshed,” said the Principal of SDN Ngargosari to one of the Long Life Learner Teams. The event was held for half a day, namely on Wednesday, December 14, 2014. Considering that the activities were aimed at grades 1-VI of elementary school with different physical strengths, the event only lasted for half a day.

With preparations and efforts to overcome obstacles, the event took place as expected and supported by sunny weather in the rainy season. In addition, thanks to the support of teamwork, the school and the ability to improvise the event went well. The students were enthusiastic about participating in the activities. They had gathered before the event time. "This event went well, thanks to the help of volunteers, both donors, sponsors and volunteers." said Kiki, the leader of the Long Life Learner Team. (SY)
