Office Administration Education Study Program FE UNY received a visit from SMK Sentosa Sridadi OKU Timur, South Sumatra, Wednesday (31/12/14). A group of 28 students and 6 accompanying teachers were received in the friendly room on the 2nd floor of FE-UNY by the Deputy Dean III, Siswanto M.Pd and the Secretary of the Department, Purwanto M.M, M.Pd.

During this visit, Siswanto M.Pd presented a brief description of the profile of FE, the history of FE and the university selection system at UNY. There are 4 entrances available, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN, Bidik Misi program and independent pathway.

The head of the competency field as well as the accompanying teacher, Mintarto SE, S.Pd., in his speech said that the purpose of the visit to the Office Administration Education Study Program was to provide insight into higher education, especially office administration study programs. Students are expected to be able to make a visit report, which is part of the competency exam and national exam at SMK Sentosa Sridadi OKU Timur. Mintarto SE.,S.Pd., added that his party hopes to establish cooperation with FE-UNY in the framework of an annual visit which is a routine agenda at Sentosa Sridadi Vocational School, OKU Timur.

Secretary of the Department, Purwanto M.M, M.Pd., explained the profile of Office Administration. He also specifically explained about the laboratory facilities owned by the Office Administration study program, including office simulation labs, office technology labs, manual and electronic typing labs, and computer labs and digital archives. He also reminded students to continue to be enthusiastic and try to participate in various achievement competency activities held both at the regional and national levels, because academic and non-academic achievements can be an opportunity to enter higher education through available pathways, namely bidik misi and independent path.

After the speech was over, it was continued with the giving of souvenirs and students were invited to visit the laboratory and try various simulations such as office management in the office simulation lab and digital archives in the computer lab. (Nadia)
